Rain Continues as the Garden Grows
I returned yesterday afternoon from a wonderful weekend in the mountains where there was <gasp> no cell service or internet! And…I returned to tell the tale!
It has been raining for days and days and I was afraid the seeds I had sown had most likely drowned. Between rain showers this morning I discovered the resiliency of those seeds and was amazed at how much they grew today in a matter of hours!
The cucumbers and bushbeans have started to peek up through the soil. Early this morning I found the first bush bean seedling.
Just a few hours later, the seedling was starting to look more like a toddler!
And then there is the califlower and broccoli growing in the planter box on the deck. This picture was taken on Friday.
Just three days later the planter box is brimming full!
The tomato plants are coming along nicely as are the peppers and the perennials in the butterfly garden.
Gardening is such a kick when it seems like the plants are growing and changing before your very eyes! (I guess they really are!) What is happening in your garden today?
